Beautiful pics Amber! Is that a meat grinder you're using for the sumac?

Thanks Jen! It's a grain mill. Works great with the sumac, but because it's so light and fluffy, I used a chopstick to stir and push it down so that it would go through the mill.

Hi Amber,
I've been thinking about purchasing a grain mill myself, would you mind telling me where you found yours?
Thanks,
Sherry

Hi Sherry,

The food mill is called Back to Basics and it was a gift that I believe was ordered online. Not sure of the source but no doubt a web search would turn up a few options. I really like it. It works well for small batches, doesn't take up a lot of space and is easy to clean. There are other styles out there too, but I can't speak to how well they work or don't work. Good luck!

Love the fingerless gloves and the mortar & pestle! And the path darkening... gorgeous photos invoking that sense of darkening and colder days... still no snow here though!

Beautiful photos! What is the fruit in the last one? It looks tasty... : )

The fruit is quince. I glean it from a bush that grows not too far from where I live.
